Now that Edward Colston’s statue has toppled, should the Duke of Sutherland’s be next?

What a nasty piece of work.

I'd prefer an explanation of what he did beside the statue to help educate people.
The history will still have happened with or without the statue.
( some of my family were impacted and moved to the USA if that is relevant)

I believe in Canada they are moving away from the idea of naming streets after people, ditto presumably statues. Perhaps it is no longer appropriate for our times. I like the idea of monuments or art about concepts, such as equality, democracy, dignity, justice, peace, health and so on.
