Health Care jobs

Is anyone in Scotland a health care assistant within a hospital? My sis has an interview and We were just wondering what the job actually really consists of? The job description is very basic and probably doesnt give a true view of what the job role entails

Thanks!

She could phone the 'for more info contact xxx' number and ask. I interview people for similar roles but in the community. If someone phones or even (in normal times!) arranges a visit I think that's a good thing.

If someone comes for interview and obviously doesn't know what the job is, I wonder why they didn't phone to ask.

Thank you I’ll tell her to give them a call. I didn’t know that would be appropriate!

HCA is usually an auxiliary. Changing beds, cleaning wards, filling water jugs, basic care needs. That sort of thing. The exact duties will depend on the department.

In outpatients it's checking urine, blood pressure, taking blood, preparing notes for clinic, supporting nursing staff.
