Anyone got the day by day figures for Scotland or know where they live?

ThanksSmile

Thank you. Sorry I meant the day by day ones so I could see the trend. I probably wasn’t very clear.

Like in a graph or you mean a complete total daily numbers so you can see the upsurge over different days rather than the link above that shows the single day view but obviously replaces the day before.

Sexnotgender · 24/03/2020 14:56

A graph or just the raw data day by day so I can graph it myself.
As you say the link replaces the data from the day before unfortunately.

Finally found something useful, took some digging!

It is interesting but it's not something we haven't been told daily on the gov page, of course it looks far more stark when compiled like that!

I think it would probably be easiest to take a screen shot of the data in the first link every day so you can either graph it yourself or add it to a spreadsheet so you can compile your own data.

I wasn't able to find a consistent source either. I found various sources that took a snapshot and graphed it etc but not one that consistently updates everyday, well not specifically for Scottish data.

There's a table on Wikipedia on the page called '2020 coronavirus pandemic in the United Kingdom' broken down by NHS Board and by day.

Thank you.

Thanks hare you are indeed far superior in your interneting capabilities than us! Blush

The Courier has a good page with Statistics and graphs. Not sure if you have to pay to access it normally. You get a number of free articles before paying.

I wish I could take credit Ginkypig, but DH showed it to me last night - stats are our job so it's interesting comparing who has the best presented info: government, media, publicly-maintained website...

GlassOfProsecco · 24/03/2020 21:44

Thank you @PurpleFrog - really good article - it is reassuring in a lot of ways.

PurpleFrog · 24/03/2020 22:42

I have been following for a few days - the numbers are updated every day.

PurpleFrog · 24/03/2020 22:44

The graph of how things have developed in different countries after 100 cases is especially reassuring.

BackforGood · 24/03/2020 22:45

How do they know ?
I mean - if you feel unwell, are you supposed to log in somewhere? Even if that were the case, how would they know if you have this, or some other illness ?

I've been wondering this since they started giving such precise figures.

PineappleDanish · 25/03/2020 08:19

The figures are just the tip of the iceberg and only highlight the most serious cases.

That's not scaremongering - it's actually a positive thing. Good friends of mine have had the coronavirus. Absolutely definitely. The temperature, loss of taste/smell, the cough - which I heard from the street when I dropped off bread and milk last week. All of them are better now. They will not be on ANY statistics as they didn't see a doctor, didn't go to hospital, weren't tested.

But that's not to say not to take it seriously. Stay at home.

helpfulperson · 25/03/2020 20:39

They are being very clear it is not the number with coronavirus. It is the number of those tested, the number who tested positive and today for the first time the number of ICU beds occupied.

LizzieMacQueen · 26/03/2020 17:07

There's a big jump in positives today. Is that because we're testing more?

LizzieMacQueen · 01/04/2020 12:11

16 more deaths reported today bringing total to 76.

LizzieMacQueen · 01/04/2020 12:11

147 in intensive care.

WaxOnFeckOff · 01/04/2020 13:47

It was under 100 in intensive care a couple of days ago.

www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/health/coronavirus/early-lockdown-means-scottish-death-rate-will-be-lower-2524987

This is an interesting article- basically we are a week or so behind London & will hopefully have a flatter curve as lockdown commenced earlier in the outbreak. Fingers crossed.
