Are Scotland doing the same as England? Will we be contacted if on the List??

Yes you will be. Same system as England.

Asterisktheknackered · 22/03/2020 19:40

Apparently letters will start going out today in Scotland.

Asterisktheknackered · 24/03/2020 18:10

Thanks fuckweasel, will be interesting to see if I get one,bi doubt it. I'm on the first team treating a patient with symptoms tomorrow.

Im expecting one, I've had a diagnosis of brittle asthma for 10 years, in and out of hospital, get PIP etc.
I was always going to do 12 weeks isolation anyway.

Asterisktheknackered · 24/03/2020 18:18

Take care ihavebrillohair

Thanks, I'm hoping it'll be ok so long as I
follow all the rules.

Sorry know this thread is a few weeks old but has anyone received a new shielding letter in the last day or 2? A close family member whose condition was previously on the vulnerable list has had a letter(2 infact) stating they are high risk and to shield until 18th June. Why now I wonder??

attackedbycritters · 13/05/2020 07:50

They are updating all the time, based on learning about the virus and consulting with the patients doctor

Alittlewornout · 13/05/2020 08:10

Ok makes sense but is tricky for me as we are the same household and I am a front line worker who has merrily been doing my job( in PPE) granted and taking loads of precautions
when I come home because I knew they were in the vulnerable
category. My line manager will be lovely but I now feel guilty both ways that I have unintentionally put my loved one at risk to care for others and now guilty that my colleagues will likely shoulder my workload. Such is the life of a nurse.

0DETTE · 13/05/2020 08:58

Such is the life of a woman - we seem to be programmed to feel guilty all the time!

Seriously, don’t feel bad - you have done what you thought was best based on the information you had at the time. The expert opinion is changing as they get more data.

Thank you for everything you have done for the NHS and your patients so far - you have made a difference.

Alittlewornout · 13/05/2020 16:23

@0DETTE thank you for your kind words. I have put my sensible hat back on as clearly the measures I have taken so far have been successful so will just keep plodding on.

IHaveBrilloHair · 14/05/2020 15:40

I've had nothing since the shielding letter weeks ago.
I do get the food box delivered weekly, but Ive had no letters/texts at all.
