Latest project we need to contribute to- thoughts?

So today HS2 given go ahead. £106 billion overall cost ( at least) with £10.6 BILLION coming from Scottish taxes. To allow people to travel from Manchester to London 20 mins quicker.
Latest in long line of projects my hard earned taxes go to with no benefit for me or my family.
Anyone else angry?

No because I live in Ayrshire and can point at endless projects for the central belt I've helped pay for with no benefit to me.

That's not a good use of my tax money either, you could argue. But that's not how it works, is it?

More concerned that the SNP government are throwing millions at trying to ptrove their case for independence or drawing up plans for a consultative referendum rather than funding schools or sorting out the Edinburgh sick kids shitshow.

Imagine all the projects in Europe we are funding too.

Tories have also just spent £5 million from taxes on a video campaign for the union. And hasn't there been around four Tory held elections/ referendum since the Scottish referendum..
Anyway, wish I could be more chilled out about it as it would really help my blood pressure !

The North East pays for a lot of stuff in the Central Belt. We still have a rubbish train service.
