So will it be feasible to drive to Bellahouston Park on Sunday? I don’t expect to get parked outside, but is there on street parking a walkable distance? I am already hunting out the wellies...

Parking advice here
www.smmrsessions.com/glasgow/travel
Nothing on-street in the vicinity.
Wellies or hiking boots a must!

Judging by last night, people were parking on St Andrews Drive (close to the traffic lights with Dumbreck Road) and walking from there (along Dumbreck Road). The Avenues (Sherbrooke, etc) on the North side of St Andrews Drive are also a possibility and you can then walk down the foot path at the top of the hill down to Dumbreck Road and from there across the motorway to Bellahouston.

Just don’t know what to do for best. I can’t walk far, but can walk. Maybe best to get train in and walk to/from Drumdreck Station.

Dumbreck station is definitely closer than any on-street parking.

pippitysqueakity · 17/08/2019 14:06

Ok, train it is, thank you.

Can I ask, what do people think about getting a taxi from Queen Street station?

Where are you coming from?

ButDoYouAvocado · 18/08/2019 09:56

I drove past just after it finished on Friday and the roads were rammed. I was on the motorway. I definitely wouldn't drive.

We used this both Friday and Saturday. It's from Buchanan Street bus station (or other pick up points) and there's buses back as well, you get a wristband, it's so handy Smile

pippitysqueakity · 18/08/2019 10:39

Coming from Edinburgh, so train gets into Glasgow queen street.

OR you can use a pp link 😂

Iggi999 · 18/08/2019 12:44

Happybus can take you from Edinburgh I believe. You're not joking about the wellies it was a mud bath

celtiethree · 18/08/2019 12:53

I drive Friday/Saturday parked at Ibrox once in the car park and once on the road alongside the stadium. Was no problem getting back onto the motorway - was well organised with police stopping traffic entering the area, only allowing traffic to exit back onto the motorway. Much more difficult getting out of the venue on foot - very poorly lit and too many people filtering down narrow exits.

doodlejump1980 · 18/08/2019 12:54

Happybus. And wellies. It was a quagmire at the Foos last night. Fantastic night though 🤘🏻
