Mearns Castle High School

Hi,

Does anyone have kids at Mearns Castle? We've moved into the area and we're hoping for Wood Farm but have found out it is full and have been placed in Mearns Castle S2.

Would be great to have some feedback.

My 4 children went to MCHS. It's much more academic than Woodfarm, but has a fab music dept and great drama dept. Woodfarm had a lot of placing requests, esp from Glasgow, so surprised you didn't get a place. Many (but not all), would choose MCHS over Woodfarm. To be honest all the schools in ERC are fab and offer many varied opportunities for pupils.

Yes, I've heard the same about all ERC schools. We went up today for a tour - we're both (DD and I) really pleased.
