Anyone on Uist?

We are coming to Uist at the end of August as my DH has two weeks work on Berneray.
How easy is it to get around on the buses as my DH will have the van?
Google hasn't been that much help really.

There is a bus network, but it's really not frequent. I'm not really sure where you'd need to be going though? Make sure you're staying within walking distance of a beach and ideally a shop and you'll have a brilliant time.

Meant to say, cycling is a decent way to get around too.

I've found a cycle hire place on Berneray now. I dont drive so I dont want to be spending two weeks in the van. I would like to try to get out and about a bit and I've found a bus that I can get to Pobull Fhinn on . Really I'd like to explore North and South Uist and maybe take a boat trip. He's working and I'm taking the opportunity to have a holiday. 🙂
