Scotland has THE BEST weather

It's 20 degrees hotter in France, Spain and Germany than in central Scotland. We are very lucky this year (hope I don't jinx it).

Scotland is the home of the saying (which I concur with) 'there's no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing'. Cold can be alleviated with wool, rain by sufficient Goretex - but too much heat has no such simple fixes.

For Stirling and Edinburgh yesterday you needed a wetsuit.

Last day of school in Edinburgh on Friday - I am dreading it 😭 what if it’s 6 weeks of rain and grey? We aren’t going away for “summer” and there’s a real lack of indoor activities that don’t sit the earth.

Temperatures of around 18 are absolutely perfect in my view. You don't have to spend all your time sweating and worrying about suncream. Can really enjoy being outdoors or in.
In central Europe it's so hot they've shortened school hours.
And where we live it mainly seems to rain at night for some reason.

My kids don't finish until tomorrow although dd hasn't been in after Monday as she said it was pointless as so few children were in (Just gone into S5). Ds had been happy to go in but he's in S1 so more pupils have been in.

We've hardly had any rain really. Off to Spain on Saturday though where it is scorchio

I’m jealous of all you lot further north than me. Although this weather is entirely my own fault for being this pregnant over summer. Well, I suppose my husband is partly to blame 😂. 18 degrees would be lovely. 24 degrees is horrendous even when I’m not fat and hormonal.
