I have changed username...paranoidly perhaps...in case identifiable.

I would be really grateful for some advice. DP and I are going to elope- we would like to organise a low key family get together for when we return from honeymoon.

It is for around 35 people, budget of around 45 pounds per person.

Ideally we looking for a naice afternoon tea/foody lunch and then somewhere people can wander around together after, look at things etc- so a busy city centre isn't ideal.

We would prefer the central belt area.

It doesn't need to be private dining.

Very grateful for any ideas!

House for An Art Lover in Glasgow? The cafe has a separate room for 40 people you can hire and it’s in Bellahouston Park.

Stirling Highland hotel is also decent - short walk up to the castle after and the food is good. Has a pool and a spa too.

Will look at both- many many thanks!

West Brewery on Glasgow Green or Culross Palace?

You might need to check for numbers but Rufflets hotel in St. Andrews is gorgeous and the town is always nice for a wander.

Great- will look at the various National Trust options actually! A few good options in St Andrews that spring to mind too- thank you.

Not sure on prices but,
Cornhill Castle hotel in Biggar - had afternoon tea there recently and it was delicious
Melville Castle near Dalkeith - beautiful grounds, I got married there a few years ago and it is a lovely setting

Melville

Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh. Lovely for guests to wander round, nice restaurant at the Gateway & will guarantee some scenic photos.
