Hi all,
I'm looking for some advice. My family and I are moving to Linlithgow in July. I have a five-year-old daughter who will be starting primary school in August. We are not from the area and we're looking for recommendations for good primary schools. Does anybody have any good advice / tips? Thanks.

Hi, I’m afraid I can’t help with the schools but have you looked at the council website? Here’s the link, hopefully filtered for Linlithgow. Most people in Scotland send their children to their catchment school - do you know where on Linlithgow you will live? The other choice to make is between catholic and non denominational.

The schools in Linlithgow are all perfectly fine options. I have friends with DCs at all local schools and they are all happy. To be honest, the housing market is pretty fast moving due to basic demand vs supply, so I wouldn’t base any house searches on school catchment.

The vast majority of children go to the catchment school.
