Hi have recently moved from Edinburgh to Stepps and struggling with the rubbish/recycling collections!

Used to recycling/rubbish bins on ever corner and now have a 3 week collection on household waste, glass and plastic and cardboard. Trying to find a recycling point but it's proving impossible.

Can anyone local tell me where the nearest dump/recycling centre is???

www.glasgow.gov.uk/hwrc you can normally get bigger recycling bins from the local council. I'm north Lanarkshire and also have collections every 3 weeks except for food/ garden waste that is every 2 weeks

Or do you count as north Lanarkshire too?

Sillyshell · 05/06/2019 21:29

Thanks for replying, we are north Lanarkshire too.

It's the black bags and plastic I'm struggling with, can't find anywhere to just take it too as the bins we have are full well before the collection day!

Can I get a larger blue or green-lidded recycling bin?

Yes - please contact us on (01698) 403110.

(That's from north Lanarkshire council website)

www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=28055 had north lan recycling centres but I don't know if a Glasgow one is closer

Is this closer:

Easter Queenslie Recycling Centre
90 Easter Queenslie Road
Glasgow
G33 4UL
