Alternative to Cameron House

Can anyone recommend a hotel within easy driving distance of the central belt which is a bit like Cameron House? I’m thinking Scottish luxury with an attractive pool/spa with beautiful views (Mar Hall is nice but the pool is very plain). TIA

Is Turnberry too far? I was going to suggest Mar Hall but agree the pool is pretty plain.

Turnberry isn’t too far and would be lovely but I can’t bear to give any money to that man! I keep hoping he’ll sell it so I can go 😁 Thanks for suggestion though.

Dunblane Hydro. Gleneagles. Crieff Hydro.

Stobo?

Have you thought of Seamill Hydro - nice restaurant, spa/pool, and views to die for (Disclaimer - we stay just up the road outwith Largs so I've not had a chance to stay there overnight, but we eat there regularly)

Thanks for the suggestions - I’ll enjoy looking them up. Love a bit of holiday planning!

Crieff hydro is lovely or there is the Mcdonalds resort in Aberfoyle forrest mills (I think ) it's called I was at a wedding there and it is really nice

Gleneagles? Or Duchally? (which is very close to Gleneagles).

MrsJayy · 15/03/2019 11:23

Gleneagles have suites

LizzieMacQueen · 15/03/2019 12:51

The swimming pool at Dunblane hydro does not scream luxury. I would look at Gleneagles too.

Has anyone been to Inchyra near Falkirk recently, maybe that's an option.

What about Fonab Castle near Pitlochry? Or Auchrannie in Arran?

Portavadie is sumptuous but might be a bit far?

MoreProseccoNow · 17/03/2019 11:05

Fairmount St Andrews? Or the Old Course hotel?

What about Auchrannie in Arran?

Lodge on Loch Lomond?

Not a fan of Crieff Hydro myself.
