Does anyone know Stirling?

We are looking to relocate to Stirling (or Larbert but Stirling would be more suitable). I am not from the area and I don't know anyone that is from around there either. We are looking for an area that is close to the motorway links so places outside of Stirling like Alva, etc. are not suitable. Any good locations? I know Kings park is a fancy area but not in our budget. I would say the highest we can go is £260k.

I can help! :)

What kind of vibe are you after? How old are DC if any? What size of property are you after?

Happy to help too, currently teach in a Stirling secondary school so have knowledge that an HMIE report won't tell Wink

Happy to help too. Cambusbarron, Bridge of Allan and Dunblane are all villages around Stirling and besides the motorway. Cambusbarron is the closest and probably cheapest. All are lovely.

Lovely place. Went to uni there in 1997 and have stayed in the area. Cambusbarron, Riverside, Bridge of Allan are all lovely.

I used to be a social worker in Stirling but didn't live there. There are some nice areas and some very dodgy areas! I wouldn't look at Alva or any of the Hillfoot towns. They are not too well connected for the motorway and some area bit down at heel (although maybe just my view from driving through).

Look at Torbrex, Broomridge, Riverside for your budget. Cambusbarron is a lovely village with a good community feel but the nice houses would likely be over your budget.

Hello, i am sorry I've not replied. I've been pretty busy this weekend. Thank you for all your comments. Ive messaged some of you privately and its been a huge help. My dh and i went to Stirling and we now have a good idea of the areas we want to stay and we got a good feeling about Stirling. Thanks again Smile
