Are there any nice ones? Was underwhelmed by the Gyle and Ocean Terminal.

Livingston - outlet and shopping centre, TK Maxx, Matalan, Debenhams, Superdry.

The Fort

Actually, The Fort's not indoor, more retail park, but has big M&S, Homesense, TK Maxx etc.

Straiton, again not ondoors, but big retail park with Ikea, Dunelm, laura Ashley, TK maxx, lots of furniture stores, big next, Costco if you're a member etc

The gyle and ocean terminal are both dreadful. Unfortunately in terms of indoor shopping that’s pretty much all there is. I’ve not been to Livingston for years but there is a centre there.

Yeah I think Livingston is your best bet. Not sure it's "nice" but is very big with a large selection of shops.

Thank you!

Livingston has everything but a carpark you May never get out of. My idea of hell. Nipping into the Gyle for M&S, Monsoon, Schuh or Flying Tiger = great. Ocean terminal - as well as Debenhams has cafes with a view of Britannia and a roller skating rink, what more can you want??

Another 👍🏽 for Livingston. It's brilliant!!

Muddysnowdrop · 16/02/2019 10:58

Lindsaydoll is it still in two halves? Like two different centres with a path between them? I found it overwhelming but maybe should give it another try! (When I’ve been paid)

Dinnaehinksae · 16/02/2019 11:08

It is in two, the centre then the designer outlet. There's also all the wee retail park bits, four different ones though the one closest currently only has half a car park

So I’d need a map and a flask? Grin

Livingston is my choice for shopping despite living near the Gyle. I got bored of the gyle 19 years ago when I walked most days there as I was on maternity leave.

I do tend to travel. As Dd lives in Dundee, I like their Overgate Centre as it has the shops I want to buy from. The best shopping centre for me is the Trafford Centre but the 4 hour drive kills me.

Dinnaehinksae · 16/02/2019 21:22

Just a whole heap of patience

Livingston is way bigger than the gyle and ocean terminal put together... that’s without including either the outlet bit or the outside retail parks.

Not sure about nice, it’s a shopping centre, lol, but it’s got pretty much all the shops you’d expect from one that size, including a fairly big Debenhams and M&S.
