Meeting place between Kinross and Largs

I'm trying to arrange a date with someone. He lives in Largs, I'm near Kinross (bit of a distance!), and have only recently moved to Scotland so I don't know where to suggest. Can anyone recommend anywhere that I can suggest to him. Maybe somewhere in the countryside/nice scenery, nice pub or coffee place, somewhere to walk? Neither of us mind driving a bit, thankfully!

You've got a choice: somewhere urban, like Glasgow (loads of options) or you could try somewhere in the country like the Beech Tree Inn near Killearn, which is a nice enough pub and you can walk a (flat) bit of the West Highland Way.
