Primary schools in Midlothian?

Hi there, we're new to Dalkeith/Newtongrange and I was just wondering if anyone had experience or insight into which primary schools were the best in Midlothians? I can't seem to find the report on Newtongrange so any advice or experience will be very helpful.
Thank you!

Are you looking to move house or to apply out of catchment? I don’t know Midlothian but in Edinburgh you go to your catchment school based on your address and can only choose RC or non-denom.
