Naice Wake Venues Mount Vernon Edinburgh

Hi My friend suddenly passed away and I offered to book the wake. I don't know this side of town. I have looked on various sites however nothing pops out as funeral teas. I know they will all most likely do a tea of some sort, but hoping someone can actually recommend somewhere they have been that is good. We used to go out together years ago when single and I suppose I can’t believe I am organising her wake. Worried I either can't get anything booked or book the wrong place.

Mount Vernon is in Glasgow, isn't it?

I thought that initially but there is Mount Vernon Cemetery Edinburgh.

I know the area but from a while ago so I don’t know what’s around now in terms of places. It’s Liberton Brae, Lasswade Road, Cameron Toll-ish at a push. It’s not too far from Mortonhall Crem so there must be a few places in the vicinity that will be set up for this - hopefully someone with more current knowledge of the area will come along soon.

The Charwood was lovely for the last funeral I was at, week before Christmas. That's Edinburgh southside.
