Moving to Glasgow

Have a few questions needing answered. I'm living in Paisley with my partner and my DS at my parents house where there's also my 2 brothers so as you gather, we are very overcrowded. 7 people in a 3 bedroom house. I am on the list with GHA (I don't want to stay in Paisley anymore) and it's a bidding system. I've bidded on 25-30 all in my grouping and had nothing back at all. So the first question is did anyone get a house with gha and if so how long did it take? Second question is what areas of Glasgow are good to stay in? I've got Hillington, Cardonald and Mosspark so far.

There are GHA housing going up in Pollokshields at the moment. I think there is a mix of sizes within them.

There are also a load of HA houses going up near the Newlands Morrisons - either side of the Lidl there. Not sure of the name of the road Blush

Cathcart might be a good place to look too - think there are plans for new builds over there and quite a lot of HA housing. Anywhere in Shawlands should be ok. Smile

Avoid Govanhill, but New Gorbals is probably ok (old Gorbals wouldn't have been - Govanhill has taken over its mantle Sad )

No, idea but I'm about to do the same, (medical reasons)
