Anyone live there? Thinking of moving from Edinburgh. Do you find it a friendly place? Schools good etc? Really tempted by being near the sea but commute worrying would love to hear from anyone doing it!

Ive only ever visited, know theres a railway station.
Also highschool, Asda, swimming pool.

If you want to be near the sea what about Musselburgh, Prestonpans, Cockenzie, Port Seton. All on Lothian buses 26 route. As is East Edinburgh -Portobello, Joppa etc.

The prices in Dunbar are lower than portobello/Joppa. Musselburgh etc I hadn’t thought of my perception is the state schools don’t have the best reputation in that area but I may be wrong.

What about North Berwick? Schools there are definitely good. I have several friends who live there & absolutely love it.
