A friend and I want to have a little celebration spa break in Scotland (I live in Glasgow, she's in Aberdeen so somewhere in the middle would be best!) Can anyone recommend somewhere that's good but not ridiculously expensive?

Apex in Dundee, has a nice pool and Elemis treatments and easy to get to. Our Carnoustie Golf hotel. I love Gleneagles for a spa but it's pricey.

Have you been to Crieff Hydro? They have a lovely adults-only spa and do packages. I’ve recommended it on MN before: our family have been going for 50+ years and it’s a really special place so always jump at the chance to spread the word! Hope you have a lovely time wherever you go x

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll have a look at them. And thanks Squaffle!

I'm a huge fan of Crieff Hydro, but think the spa is aimed at mums needing a break from the kids rather than 2 pals have a break. The hotel is full of kids all the time.

Fairmont St Andrews? (Think there is an Itison or 5pm.com deal for it just now). Fonab in Pitlochry? Gleneagles Spa is lovely but pricey.
