People drowning in the Clyde (sensitive)

I was down on Clyeside today, and got talking to a community warden who said they have recovered three bodies from the Clyde in the city centre today and yesterday. There seems to have been an awful lot of men going missing lately, and presumably this is where some of them are found. It’s just so sad that some people feel it’s their only option. Those poor families Sad

I saw a tv clip about a man who fished the bodies from the river, he was quite elderly but had always done the job as had his father before him. Tis very sad. A friend of mine jumped from the forth road bridge and I then looked into it and there are about 2 a month that kill themselves this way.

My office is just opposite from the casino and it's sad the amount of people jump in from between the two bridges there.

Look up George Parsonage, Glasgow Humane Society, the bloke is a legend & a good friend of mine. He has a FB page on which he posts updates on safety, weather forecasts which affect the river & events going on in Glasgow Green.

He (and his colleagues) have a constant battle with those who find it funny to throw the bank side life rings into the Clyde. He often retrieves dozens in a day.
