Do babies get weighed routinely these days?

When my second child was born, after so many weeks babies were not weighed any more, unless you explicitly asked for it. Is that still the case? Is there some kind of weighing program that the HVs have to follow? Do HVs visit babies routinely?
I need information that is no more that 5 years old :)
I have tried to google it, but I am not sure if what I have found relates exclusively to England.

Thanks ;)

I'm in Scotland, my son was weighed on birth, a couple of times within the first 2 weeks after birth by mw then health visitor.
Then I took him when he was 12 months to get weighed just out of curiosity.

Some people take their babies every week to be weighed. Honestly I think if there's no feeding or health issues it can become a bit obsessive.

Our local surgery has a drop in for seeing an HV but also a drop in to self weigh your baby. It's on their website.

I'd ask at reception about weigh ins for babies x

Thanks. So you confirm that there is no fixed schedule for measuring babies. ;)

Babies are weighed at birth, a couple of times in the first few weeks (it was a bit foggy, but think it was day 7 &14 ), we got a 6month, 12month, 27month & preschool (4/5year) check where the baby/child was weighed & measured. So yes there are a program of checks in the first 5years that HV follow & weighing is part of them but some of these checks vary across health boards depending on resources.

When my just three year old was born she was weighed a couple of times in the first few weeks, then I was signed off by the HV as all was well. Had the option of taking her to be weighed at drop in clinic, and was invited for two year development check, which I declined.
So no, no specific programme around here ( London outer Borough)

I think it might depend on where you are. In Lanarkshire the baby is weighed when the midwives and early HV visits, but as of next month the baby clinics will be discontinued so no further weighing opportunities until the HV is next out (for the weaning talk I think). You may be able to call the HV out if you have concerns, but there are obviously limited resources for that kind of thing.
