I agree lessstressed Ayrshire lass who has lived down south for over 20 years missed her stovies (and slice) so much Ive moved back!

I make stovies with stewing steak, onions and potatoes served with oatcakes and beetroot...... I'm hungry!! Xxx

I’m Glaswegian (also late to the party lol) but my local butcher makes steak pies at new Year with beef links in & calls them desperate dan pies. Love them!
