Hi all
I will be moving to Milngavie soon, and I am unsure about these 2 primary schools. Which is better? I cannot find much info online about Clober primary and I cannot find an estyn report. Another school is Craigdhu primary but it doesnt have a nursery and i have a 2.5 yr old.
Any advice would be much appreciated!!

IMO most primary schools are much of a muchness, so just go for your catchment school.

Nurseries attached to schools are usually preschools, taking children aged between 3-5

I went to Clober back in the day and have a cousin there now. Obviously it's changed since I was there but haven't heard anything bad. My brother went to Craigdhu and had a ball - open plan classrooms there.

I know it's a long way off but....

Baljaffray feeds into Bearsden Academy. Clober feeds into Douglas Academy. If you are living in Milngavie and catchment for one of their schools, you may well be granted a placing request for Primary but have little to no hope of getting your child into Bearsden Academy as it's so full.

Both schools have decent reputations locally, I would send your child to your catchment school for social reasons - her/his friends will be closer. You can find HMIE inspections here:

education.gov.scot/what-we-do/inspection-and-review/Reports

But remember that some of them are fairly old. My child's Primary hasn't been inspected for 7 years.
