I have an appointment at the New Victoria Hospital, Grange Road on Monday. I'll take the train to Glasgow which gets me to Queen Street Station. Google map directions suggests to take the Nr 4 bus from St Vincent Street towards Newton Mearns and get off at the stop called New Victoria Hospital. I had a look at the map/schedule for that route and it mentions neither the St Vincent stop (closest one is Hope Street, Central Station) nor the one at the hospital.
Do the route maps/schedules not show all stops? Oh, and it seems there are two slightly different routes, 4 which goes to Newton Mearns and 4A which goes to Eaglesham, would either one go past the New Victoria? And also, is there a better way to get to the hospital by public transport from Glasgow city centre?
Thanks.

Both the 4s go past the Victoria. They only diverge at the end of the route. I think you get the number 4 buses from hope st, or bath st. Not st Vincent st.

Thanks both, I found the map of city centre bus stops on the firstgroup website and (after enlarging it a lot, I think I might need an eye check as well) I could see the stops for route 4. There are 2 on Union Street. The Hope Street ones are for the other direction as far as I can tell.
I've only ever used the airport bus in Glasgow before.

God, yes - it's Union St you want. Sorry - I'd have sent you in the wrong direction! I think you'll also be able to get on any 6s that go down Union St too. Good luck.

You want to go to Renfield/union st as hope st is one way in to town. If you head to renfield and walk down you will pass lots of stops just look for yours. Than you want to get off at the Battlefield red/Prospecthill rd junction.

*Battlefield road

When you're on the 4 bus (either Mearns or Eaglesham) you'll get it from the bottom of Renfeld st & go over the bridge to the south side, down Victoria Rd (lots of shops) & then take a left at the bottom. Get ready to get off as you go past the parks on both sides. You can't miss the Vicki, it's huge!

Thanks everybody for your help. I think I'm all set. Smile
