Mull anyone?

I quite fancy a few days in Mull in the summer holidays. Has anyone been there? I'm looking for advice on the best areas to stay, what's worth visiting etc. I'd like to visit for Iona for the day too.

We go to Mull in October for the rally but the summer is beautiful too!

Yes we've been and it is lovely. We stayed in Tobermory which is pretty much the only town on the island. There's a smallish Co-op and other shops. We loved the beach at Calgary Bay too. Iona is stunning.

One thing to remember on Mull is that the roads are really bad. Some of the road from Craignure where the ferry comes in up to Tobermory is two way A road, the rest is all single track road with passing places. It took us about 1hr 45mins to get from Tobermory to the ferry to Iona.
