For anyone who still thinks the Named Person legislation is still a good idea.

Dundee City Council publishes details of vulnerable children on its website.

I think the council is more at fault as opposed to the legislation. Their stupidity for breaching confidentiality.

You could say that about any information database though. I work in the NHS. If I leaked patient-sensitive information, it wouldn't be the fault of the clinical information system that I use. It would be human error i.e. my fault.

the children named in the doc were already in the care system with a social worker, had been for years. what the papers didn't say was the document in question was written in 2012 so its quite old. I do think its interesting that they were potentially collecting information about childrens wellbeing long before the NP act came along.
