BBC1 Scotland - The Council. Anyone watching?

These home carers are heroic, aren't they? Most of their clients are ill or old and close to death, yet they keep smiling and do a wonderful job for what's probably a disgustingly low wage.

I didn't watch, but have seen at first hand how these wonderful folk care for poor souls who otherwise would have no help or human contact from week to week. What a fantastic service they provide!

I watched the 1st 2 but forgot about the next one. I worked with the elderly for 12 years before being made redundant (I was non-personal care tho). Watching this programme has made me really miss what I used to do so when my youngest starts nursery in January I think I'm going to look for work with the elderly again.
