can you just go into Le Monde for a drink at the bar? Is it across from the Dome? I think I've walked past it before.

I like the menu at the Cambridge bar, thats my kind of food!

Le Monde is next door to the Dome. You certainly can pop in for a drink, I had a business meeting in the 'library bar' and most people were having coffee etc. At busy times you might struggle for a table, I'm sure they take bookings.

If you like seafood, Fishers in the City on Thistle Street Lane is wonderful, so cosy yet so... Edinburgh :)

Also recommend the Dome for drinks. It's not Christmas for me until I've been! Badger and Co on Castle Street is excellent for food and drinks. Enjoy! I love Edinburgh at Christmas.
