No issues behind the reasoning as I was offered it several times during my last pregnancy. But is it a long process from a GP referal?

How long is a piece of string? Will depend on where you live etc. Our local hospital is around a year for an endoscopy. But for my gynaecology referral took only 8 weeks.

My gynae referral took about 13 weeks. From that appointment the waiting list for the operation (in Lothians) is 12 weeks.

GP said waiting list for gynaecology consultation was 18 weeks, so that plus 12 weeks for actual op suggests about 6 months from referral to operation.

Ha! I was hoping for a few weeks! Oh dear!
Thanks ladies, best get cracking!
