Things to do in Edinburgh with a 3 year old?

Hello

We will be in Edinburgh from Wednesday to Saturday AM this week with our 3 year old. We've already booked tickets for the zoo on Thursday but I'd appreciate recommendations for things to fill the other 2 days with, please? Also, child friendly places to eat would be good, too.

Thanks Smile

Botanic gardens are great for toddlers, cafe on top of the hill has a kids play area.

Jenn's Den Cafe in Davidson's mains is good for a rainy day & plenty to amuse them.

Ocean Terminal & EICA Ratho have good soft play areas for kids that age.

Museum on Chambers St & Vittoria's/Pizza express nearby for food.

Playpark in Princes St Gardens - maybe watch trains if bridge has reopened.

Will think of more later!

Thanks, Sauvignon! Some great ideas there. DD is loving trains right now so some train spotting and maybe a little trip up the coast might be an idea Smile

The museum of Scotland - Chambers Street. Kept my 3 year old occupied 2 mornings in a row recently.

Another vote for the national museum and Vittorias.

If you fancy a trip on the train North Berwick is lovely and the seabird centre is good for little ones.
