Just heartbroken for the Scotland rugby team

They deserved to win and were on the wrong side of some very poor decisions. I'm so very proud to be Scottish tonight.

Gutted. Sad

That ref will be hanging his head in shame Angry

Greig Laidlaw was furious in the post match interview - couldn't look at the camera at all and was doing everything he could to keep it together - I don't blame him at all - amazed he could talk -there were tears here..

Yes, another gutted family here too. Sad

Really hope the SRU organise some sort of homecoming event - the team deserve their great performance to be acknowledged. We would go to Murrayfield to cheer them home!

I'm Welsh but so feel for Scotland. As Laidlaw said- they go to the TMO for everything else, why not that. The Scottish team should be so incredibly proud but I imagine as professional sportsmen they must feel truly cheated. Everyone had written you guys off but boy did you prove them wrong. Scotland- I for one salute you!

Another gutted family here - I wasn't really aware of the hullabaloo at the end as the BBC commentary didn't say there was an issue, and I'm not an expert on the rules (despite going to 6 Nations games every year...). But having watched videos of Kenny Logan et all spitting feathers about it, I'm so disappointed for the team. They played out of their skins, and certainly did themselves proud. Way, way better than our national football team!

It's official. World Rugby acknowledges that Joubert made a mistake. Doesn't change anything though Sad Except hopefully stop Joubert ever officiating a high level match again Hmm But rugby fans said that after his abysmal performance in the 2011 Final and he wasn't benched Angry

Wouldn't hold your breath prettybird. After they hung him out to dry they said that he is still a great ref blah blah blah. Like you said, if they were judging by performance he wouldn't have been involved after the 2011 final. Having said that, I don't see him being able to command the respect to officiate high level matches in the future. That is due to the statement by World Rugby more than Joubert's admittedly despicable actions.

I was pretty missed off with Joubert but feel a bit sorry for him now. It turns out the rules didn't allow him to consult the TMO and he made the wrong call. He is not the first ref to make a mistake and I am gutted for Scotland but unfortunately it happens.

The sprint for the exit was much worse IMO and inexcusable really. If there is one thing a ref must never be it is a coward.

Of course, I feel much worse for the Scotland rugby team. Nothing for it now but to look forward to the 6 nations.
