Still Yes? Still No?

Almost a year after the referendum, I'm wondering if anyone regrets how they voted.

In the interests of transparency, I was a Yes voter, and would vote Yes again.

Yes then, still yes now.

prettybird · 06/09/2015 22:53

This won't end well Wink

Yes then, still yes.

And no, I'm not brainwashed, nor a member of a cult.

Bishboshbash · 06/09/2015 22:54

No and will always be a No.

VinylScratch · 06/09/2015 22:56

Yes then, yes now.

noiwontstoptalking · 06/09/2015 22:58

Yes and yes

AP* Grin. I hope you have your hard hat on.

JollyGolightly · 06/09/2015 22:59

I voted no.

But next time around l will probably be a yes.

irishe · 06/09/2015 23:04

No and can't imagine voting yes

DansonslaCapucine · 06/09/2015 23:06

Yes, it's still yes from me.

HirplesWithHaggis · 06/09/2015 23:10

Is it ok if I ask Jolly what changed her mind, or would that be goadyfuckerish? (I don't mean to be, genuinely curious. But I do see it could derail it all.)

Behooven · 06/09/2015 23:13

No, and never

I'm not a quisling or a traitor

rogueantimatter · 07/09/2015 00:08

I'd vote the same way in the event of another referendum.

AgentProvocateur · 07/09/2015 07:56

I wasn't meaning to start a fight! One of my good friends who was firmly in one camp, said that she'd changed her mind over the last year and would now vote the other way (notice my diplomacy in not saying whether she was yes or no? Wink). I just wondered if this was common, but it would appear not from the answers in this thread.

I was a very shy/ silent no. In the fucking hideous event of another referendum I'd be a loud and angry no.

prettybird · 07/09/2015 08:40

I don't think any of my friends have changed their stance except one who voted a narrow No but who has said that she would vote Yes if the UK votes to leave the EU.

But unlike on Mumsnet, almost all my friends are Yes and only 2 were No. I know of only a couple of No voters in my wider circle of acquaintances. But there again, I do live in one of the cities that voted Yes Wink

And no, I've not fallen out with anyone as a result of the referendum. Smile

I've been told by my dad to forget my inheritance as he's going to live to see independence Wink. His aunt lived to 100, so that's potentially up to 21 years Shock

Robertaquimby · 07/09/2015 08:50

I know several Nos that don't necessarily regret their decision but would vote Yes in the future. Reasons include having wanted to give solidarity with the rest of UK left another chance but giving up now with the Tory victory, having more confidence in NS to negotiate a good settlement than in AS.

I am suprised the rest of you don't know more switchers, No to Yes is quite common amongst people I know. Most of the Nos I knew were quite shaky though and were always open to the possibility of changing their minds.

GrouchyKiwi · 07/09/2015 08:53

No and still no.

elpth · 07/09/2015 09:30

No and still no.
I know three people who voted yes and were very relieved it didn't happen and now are nos. I do know a couple of yeses who are still yes but most people I know are no and still no.

voluptuagoodshag · 07/09/2015 09:39

Yes and still yes.
Main reasons:
Trident
Bankers still not being held to account
Reintroduction of 'right to buy'
House of Lords
Out of touch, elite ruling classes

RumAppleGinger · 07/09/2015 09:53

Yes and would still be a yes.

gohugatree · 07/09/2015 16:44

No and still no - probably more so no. I'll join MZ on the barricades next time round.

gohugatree · 07/09/2015 16:47

No and now even more so no. If there's another vote I'll be joining MZ on the barricades.

nulgirl · 07/09/2015 16:52

I was a no and would definitely vote the same again. Having seen the oil price remain consistently low, Scotland would not have been the thriving wealthy country that the SNP was promising.

Lidlfix · 07/09/2015 18:19

Yes then, yes now.

Tomorrowisanewday · 07/09/2015 18:21

No then, no now.

WankerDeAsalWipe · 07/09/2015 18:27

No and still No but will never say that I wouldn't vote Yes at some point.

Reasons:

Financial disaster
Lack of Challenge
Lack of transparency
and general Gobshiteness
