DS has opted for this as he will be out of the country when the results come in. Has anyone's DC used this in the past? What time can he expect them to arrive so he can find a cafe with wifi and wait it out? Any tips to distract me from the temptation of opening the "broon envelope"......

They start sending the texts out in the wee sma' hours.

My daughter had hers by 2 or 3 am.

Shesparkles · 01/08/2015 08:31

What date are they due out this year? I'm on holiday, and did is due home from her holiday on Monday, so unfortunately she's going to be home alone when she gets them

Magicrealism · 01/08/2015 08:32

As far as I am aware it is Tuesday, 4th

AssembleTheMinions · 01/08/2015 08:33

Due on Tuesday this year. Dd1 didn't sign up for either so we will have a nervous wait for the postie Grin

Results out to pupils on Tuesday. I'm so nervous for my Higher class I actually feel sick.
Hope your DC get the results they are hoping for but remember lower than expected results is never the end of the world. Smile

DS1 is going for snail mail and so are most of his mates Confused. We don't get our post until about 1pm so that's a long time to bite my his nails.

I'm not optimistic Sad

Remember they can phone the exam results helpline if they need a bit of guidance afterwards - 0808 100 8000.

My niece got hers at 2am last year and her uni offer at 4am.
Unfortunately waking her mum up at that time of the morning did not share my niece's joy! She was better at 6am.

weasleybreeder · 01/08/2015 10:11

Are the emails sent at the same time as the texts?

Mine always seem to get the text first, then email very shortly afterwards.

They all go for snail mail in 4th year to do it 'properly' and then realise the wait is too brutal Grin

DD is very quiet. Bloody Maths.

I would have loved that when I was at school. Our post was always really late anyway and the results always seemed to be just after a public holiday so even later Angry I remember getting phone calls from town - dwelling friends who didn't believe I hadn't got mine yet.
