Donating mobility equipment (Glasgow area)

My mil died and we want to give her (very good condition) mobility aids away. I've discovered though, that charity shops and some other places won't take them for H&S reasons.
I know from experience these things are expensive and it seems such a waste to throw them out, so any ideas who'd take them?

Salvation Army or SVDP?

I'm in Lanarkshire but called the social work department and they were more than happy to take my MILs mobility stuff although that was 5 years ago - we just dropped everything off with the local office.
