It certainly feels strange to think my dd will be starting driving lessons this year and a few of her friends are going to college. Tho I've got a 1&3yr old so I've got a while yet before I can give up the school runs and uniforms Grin

Annunziata · 28/04/2015 16:57

Me too. I can't believe there will be no school shopping this summer, well, until the baby goes.

What's she going to do MrsJ?

Mrsjayy · 28/04/2015 17:03

Is your dd doing 6th yr bloodydoghairs she is going to city of glasgow city of glasgow to do drama and performing , whats your dd doing when she leaves ? Och you both have wee ones to go through it all again

Yes staying on for 6th year, she has no idea what she wants to do career wise but I keep reminding her she really needs to buckle down and put plans together as she can't stay at school forever living off the bank of mum and dad!

dotdotdotmustdash · 28/04/2015 17:25

My Ds left 6th year yesterday, complete with a certificate which awards him the title of 'Most likely to become a Nun', as voted by the 6th year committee. He's quite pleased with it as he beat his best friend into 2nd place.

My Dd leaves this time next year and I will be wean-free. Weird.

Annunziata · 28/04/2015 17:49

I know. The first one started school in August 1994, the last will finish secondary in (counts on fingers and toes.... May 2030?! Did I get that right Shock?)

Feck's sake, 2030 Shock

Good for her! Mine is doing hairdressing, she's been taken on in a salon and she's so happy, I'm so pleased for her.

I'm getting wistful that my baby is going into secondary after the summer - so I'll have dd1 in s4, ds in s2 and dd2 in s1.

No more having to get them to the bus on time though, it's a bus pass and get yourself there at high school!

BloodyDogHairs · 28/04/2015 17:56

My dd goes into 6th year, ds starts secondary and I have a ds starting nursery Shock it'll be a expensive summer at the school uniform shop this year!

OneMagnumisneverenough · 28/04/2015 18:39

Mine go into 4th year and 3rd year next week - just seems like yesterday we were getting ready for P1 never mind S1 :(

Still transporting them there and back every day though - maximum of 4 years left to go though....

Mrsjayy · 28/04/2015 21:30

The saying is true they grow up in a blink. Hello weegiemum not seen you in ages you ok?

Aw, I can barely cope with ds turning 10

Groovee · 28/04/2015 21:52

Scary watching my friends first children leaving. Dd is in S3 and Ds is in S1. It's all going so fast.
