Thought I'd use our shiny new Scotnet for this.

Anyone have any experience of the Crosshouse MLU?

First post on mumsnet so I hope this works!

I've had two babies at Crosshouse MLU, both great experiences. My first was in 2011; MLU was great but ward was a bit mental afterwards. Second time was in 2014, had a really lovely water birth & went home later the same day!

I had DS there, quite stressful circumstances but the nurses and midwives were all wonderful. DS and I were both so well looked after and they even wrote him a little diary.

I have had 2 births at amu, first one 7 years ago was fine, last one was 7 and a half months ago and was by far the best birth experience I have had from all 4 births, the midwife was amazing and the birthing room was all mood lighting and stuff, they even did aromatherapy on me which was so good, they also encouraged me to listen to my own body and didn't do any vaginal examinations which was a great plus in my eyes

Yes I had DS2 there 5 years ago it was OK I was high risk and induced midwifes and prenatal care were excellent. So much better than DS1's birth at Irvine Central.

Had our DD 9 months ago, staff were all fabulous and the birthing suite is lovely and calm.
