Paultons Park/Peppa Pig World

Looking at a 3-5 night stay.

Any suggestions for a good location that has plenty to do?

Ideally no more than 1 hour away from the theme park though.

New Forest?

Sandy Balls - it is about a 25 minute drive away.

If you genuinely don’t mind staying about an hour away, I might recommend the Premier Inn in Wokingham. We stayed there when looking for somewhere close to Legoland, and realised Paultons was within reach too.

A family room is about £70 a night and parking is £8 a day. It’s a 65 min drive to Paultons Park; 25 mins to Legoland; 30 mins to Windsor Castle; 15 mins to Swinley Forest which is absolutely brilliant (a great adventure play, or for older kids you can hire mountain bikes and ride the trails; The Lookout discovery centre is great for little kids and Coral Reef Water park is fun for whole family as it has water slides and wave pool); also 10 mins to Dinton Pastures which has another great (free) kids play area, lovely cafe, plus a lake for SUP and a climbing wall (paid activities). The hotel is round the corner from an Aldi, Starbucks, a cinema, nice burger place, indoor soft play, a decent free outdoor playground, and loads of restaurants within five mins walk. Opposite is a leisure centre with a softplay and pool.

So it isn’t a tourist destination but it’s very well located and the hotel is extremely cheap compared to staying in the New Forest near Paultons and there’s loads to do on the doorstep.

Well it’s just an idea!

Dependent on your budget plenty of lovely hotels in and around the New Forest. If you are looking for budget the Premier Inn at the airport is cheap and right by the motorway . Alternatively there is one in Winchester, so very close to the motorway and easy access to Peppa Pig world and all that the New Forest and surrounding areas have to offer.
