9year olds writing and reading level

I am worried about the level of reading and writing comprehension my 9year old daughter is at. She is just going into year 5 and this summer holidays I have got her to write a short creative story. Which is great but she is unable to spell simple words such wrong(rong) Am I right to be worried about this at 9yrs old? What would you advise?

Hmm, this is difficult to know OP without more examples. Have school said she’s below age related expectations? Have they expressed any concerns? I’m a primary teacher with 16 years experience in KS2, including Y4 and Y5, so may be able to give some advice.
