Absence/Fines advice

wondering if anyone can help.
we received a fine a while ago for an absence for my dd in 2024 for our honeymoon, we paid this and we understood that we took her out over the threshold.
12 months on for the same date in 2025 my dd is going to miss 3-4 days due to a wedding out the country.
my question is, because it’s not meeting the “5 day” threshold - will this be looked at as another fine? I can’t find a solid answer, wondering if anyone could help.

my dd is doing amazing at school, her education is supported at home and this isn’t common, it’s just 2 instances that fall 12 month separate from each other x

On it's own no - it would be 4 days / 8 sessions of unauthorised absence.

However, the change from August 2024 is that within a rolling 10 school week period a fine can be issued for 10 unauthorised absence sessions, so, if your dd has had another day unauthorised absence (this shouldn't include illness), or 2 half days unauthorised absence, this can accrue the 10 sessions for a fine. Also note if a child arrives at school 30 minutes after registration closes, eg if the school day starts at 8:45am then this would be arriving from 9:15am onards it would be recirded as a U code (over 30 minutes late) and accrue as 1 unauthorised absence session.
