Summer holidays

Hi are summer holidays part of the current school year or the next one? My son goes to preschool but is starting primary school in September. Would a child normally be able to continue at preschool before starting reception class ? I've sent an enquiry to his preschool also but thought would gage what others experience is of this ? Thank you

My DS is also starting primary school in September. Even though he technically leaves nursery/preschool in July I am still able to book him in for sessions in August as they are still open. From that I would assume August is part of this current school year.

Thank you @user09767, my partner thought we wouldn't be able to. The admin person said no he finishes at term end in July when i rang the preschool but, also said she wasn't sure how it worked over summer as she just started in November. She said she would check with the manager who isn't back till next week. I think myself we should be able to, they are open over the holidays. So cross fingers we can as it will be a big relief not to have the worry over childcare, thanks again xx
