A few days away

I’m based in North Yorkshire and was due to travel south to family for a few days but they’ve cancelled due to illness. Now at a loose end with a 4 and 7 year old. Any thoughts of a little adventure. We like a bit a luxury, ideally a pool and something within a 1.5 hour drive ideally. Budget £200ish per night

I guess I'm a little bit late... How about something like Gulliver Parks, they have hotels right right there, and a lot of attractions. I don't know how good is the one that's close to you. Or going to Manchester and choose the thing your kids like. Science and Industry Museum used to be superb but now they still renovating a lot of the area. But it's still good for a day or to. And they have skiing place (expensive). And Legoland. And aquarium (you could have a combine ticket for last two.

Anyway, it would be interesting to know what did you do.
