There's a great splash pad and park at Walsall Arboretum, the splash pad is opening for the summer this weekend

Also, Cannock Chase if you have the means to travel there (about 30 mins by car from Wolverhampton

Sorry if not really the area you're looking for but we had a lovely day in Worcester last summer. Had a walk round the river, a picnic then played crazy golf. I think they've also opened a new activity/climbing centre

Yes, it has Wonderland in it that you pay for but there's plenty of free play areas too.

Peak wildlife park.

The Severn Valley Railway is nice, as is Bridgnorth, where the station is.
