Early Easter holidays?

Have all schools broke up for Easter or just most? Mine don't break up until this Friday 8th then off for 2 weeks but lots of ppl around me I see have broken up already

Lots of places are off from today but we have a further 2 days to go here - but the kids off today are going straight back to school after easter and we're getting a few days after.

I'm in Sheffield and we are off now for two weeks.
A few years back Sheffield council asked parents to vote on changing the Easter holiday from being moveable in-line with Easter or to have it fixed to try to balance the half terms in the spring/summer.

So we now have a fixed Easter break. Easter is usually still within the two weeks but not always. This year we have 2 weeks off, the last Friday is Good Friday and we also have Easter Monday off too. A bit back Easter was the weekend after the end of the holidays, so not part of the end of term holiday at all.

Pretty much the whole of Scotland takes the first 2 weeks of April, regardless when Easter falls, and has been this way for years.

My DD doesn’t finish till Thursday, but then has 19 days off.

West Yorkshire here & we don’t finish until Friday. I’m not sad about it. I quite like having Easter in the middle of the hols! Means I only have 4 days of each week to cover childcare wise 🙈

Devon and we finish on Friday - quite annoying as relatives finished last Friday, so trying to cram visits in within one week rather than 2.

As a TA, I find it mildly annoying when Easter weekend is the middle of the holidays - it was at the begining or the end we'd get either Good Friday or Easter Monday as an extra day off!

My school is a catholic school, I was told the reason why we are the only ones in the area still in school until Friday is purely because Easter has to be in the middle of the holidays.

Our LA also switched to a fixed Easter holiday at the first two weeks of April. I much prefer it this was as it is much easier to plan childcare and breaks away!

Today is our first day of hols, back on Tuesday 19 in our £ school. Otherwise Summer term is tiny.

No, there would still be 190 school days, the only time it is different is when like this year, school year is 189 due to extra bank holiday for jubilee

We don't break up until the end of the week yet. North Wales and our Easter break is always timed so that the Easter weekend is in the middle of the 2 weeks off.
