I’m really interested in this and would love to know
How you got your idea
What your business is
How many hours you put in per day/week
What sort of income you get
How old your dc were when you started!

Thank you Grin

Hi Blueswede

I am hoping to turn an interest into a small hobby business (I'm in the early stages so nothing to add at this point). There's a forum in the work section for entrepreneurs/starting your own business, you might get more replies there or alternatively in the chat forum.

If someone has come up with an idea which is quite niche, it is unlikely they will share it with you but those with more generalised businesses might be happy to share.

What have you come up with so far?

My youngest is only 2, hence why I'm the planning stages, I have only an hour or two to spare each day and want to enjoy my little one, whilst she is still little (I also have two school aged dcs).

Watching with interest.

Agree it sounds like you’re posting to steal someone else’s idea?

It sounds like you like the idea of starting a business but don’t have an idea yet. For anything that will be truly successful i.e. turn a profit equivalent to at least minimum wage, I’m inclined to think you need the idea first, to lead the decision to then start it up as a business. Looking to start a business in principle with no starting point ice is coming at it from the wrong direction in my opinion. But good luck, I hope you think of something. And just for goodness sake stay away from MLM-it’s not running a business whatever the bots would have you believe!

*idea, not ice!

I’m a teacher and have started working as a self-employed contractor. I’m currently providing 1:1 training to students and am paid £35ph.

I average £2100 a month and am loving the freedom as I get to pick the hours around childcare.

I started when my daughter was 12 months old. That was this summer and to be honest I was ready for a break and needed the excuse to put the LO in childcare.
