Hello,

Looking for information on what is life like living in Coningsby. If possible, where service family accommodation is in Coningsby or surrounding area.

many thanks,

I don't know Conningsby itself very well but I know the area. Woodhall Spa and Horncastle are decent nearby market towns. Lincoln is probably your nearest city and is lovely. It's very, very rural. Think windy country lanes and it takes ages to get from AtoB. I think Conningsby is pretty much an RAF town. They practice low / night flying over us quite often

Well there is no shortage of pubs in Coningsby! Although I think of it as a very large village I wouldn’t regard it as a town.

Like previous poster said it is very rural and pretty everywhere feels like it’s 40 minute drive away. Woodhall Spa again is lovely has a quaint stuck in time feel to it. Lots of tea shops and nick nak places. Again not a big place.

I have to add when I visit family I won’t drive on the rural roads at night. They are endless, pitch black and have massive ditches either side.

Thank you @MabelMarple and @Thesearenotthedroidsyouarelookingfor

Early days but RAF Coningsby is where a potential job is available and so I was trying to find out some information on what life is like etc.

I am trying to find out locations of the service family accommodation for Coningsby or whether to look at living elsewhere in the area.

Woodhall Spa comes up when I search about living that way.
To add I would need Primary School - Early Years.

Okay with rural. Yes definitely won’t be driving at night.

thanks

Louth is a lovely market town, lots of nice cafes and restaurants, good schools. However it a long windy drive to Conningsby.
Agree with pp those roads are tricky at night. We recently went to a wedding near Horncastle and I was the driver. I did not enjoy that late at night. You have to drive at night though, dark nights in winter, when the DC gets older you are forever taxiing them around. I don't live there and I'm not quite as rural but public transport is poor where I live, don't know about Conningsby.
