Relocation to Suffolk or Norfolk

Hello everybody.

My family and I are looking to move to either Suffolk or Norfolk ( Hubby, 16 year old son and me ).Would appreciate any help regarding areas to research or to avoid.
Need good Transport links to LIverpool Street and Ipswich, transport links to either East Anglia Uni / Suffolk Uni - not too rural, but want to be away from Town Centres.
Good travel time to amenities would be good, Hospital etc, low crime rate and a good community vibe.
We are a blended multi-cultural family, so want to avoid any areas where this may cause an issue.
Thanks so much

I think we need more information

good transport links to Liverpool Street - how often are you going there, what’s the maximum journey time you would tolerate

links into Ipswich - ditto - is it the centre or eg hospital ? You want to live on whatever side you need to be at or it will be double buses and the bus service isn’t fabulous

Suffolk and east anglia universities are very different beasts - which

and budget

woodbridge is of en touted as great and lovely as it small and has a station but it’s very white . Not sure if it would be a problem - I think it’s money that talks there

Thanks for the reply, apologies for the lack of info.
Travel to London would be 1 day a week ideally, maybe 2.
Budget around £350,000-£375,000 - hopefully this will buy a 3 bedroom house.
Suffolk University is the preferred Uni.
Looking at towns such as Kesgrave, Woodbridge, Waldringfield, Melton, Martlesham - thoughts ?

All those towns are nice but be mindful there may not be much for kids to do so I would look at what community activities are around . Colchester is also nice but is becoming larger by the minute but town is improving also and good rails links ( 45mins to Liverpool st and 20 mins to Ipswich etc) . If I could I’d choose Woodbridge; gorgeous town , great cafe culture and things to do but unspoilt too

So you need a good 6th form school or college for your Ds?
