Country boots

What are the best country boots. I like the fairfax and favor explorer or Penelope Chilvers so far and wonder if they are worth the price.

Dunlop wellies, if all you want to do is keep your feet dry. £16 from ironmongers that sell garden stuff.

Bareback Footwear.

I’m not a fan of F&F at all. Dublin boots are fab but I guess it depends what you want them for.

Another vote for Bareback Footwear. The Quebec boots are great, and look even better after a few hundred miles and a couple of seasons of mud, rain and dubbin.

Are you wanting them for practicality or just for getting a country "look"?

F+F have morphed into chavvy country so PC are a better bet. Bareback are good quality wise

I second Dublins, I've just relegated a pair to being mowing boots, I must of had them getting on for 14 years. I liked them because you could wear them as yard boots, muck out and poo pick, and also ride in them, so they have had some really tough use. When I gave up riding they became dog walking boots, its only last year the inners have worn through, and the leather now lets in the water.

I bought a pair of Barbour boots recently and they are so comfy (and country!), I love wearing them. I got them from Next, if it helps.

Ariat boots are brilliant, loads of different styles. | live in my Wythburns and Conistons, they are so comfortable!

Second Ariat. Well made, beautiful shoes (and they do actually function!).

My Bromonts (English not western) are 15yo and still waterproof!!
