I’m a 30 something single female.
I left the city to relocate back home earlier this year, post a terrible break-up of a long term relationship last year. I’m currently staying with family which is ok but over Christmas has made me realise that I don’t have a space truly of my own.
This year has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs with some very unexpected grief and sadness in my family, which had been tricky to navigate this Christmas.
I have also started a new but very stressful job, which I like but am unsure if offers long term progression and if the stressful work lifestyle is what I want long term, but
my career is niche and this job offers good financial security.
anyway, my life feels chaotic and all of my friends are very settled, in happy relationships, several with children. When on the other-hand my life feels the opposite, chaotic, stressful and unsettled (although I am actually a very calm person).
This really has all caught up with me the last few days and I just feel so lost with life. I think this is because for the first time since I was a teenager I have NO NYE plans and this just brought home how much I am not where I want to be in life.

I really just want to be happy with my life and thankful for what I have but the past few days I’ve been feeling very sorry for myself!

How can I pull myself together and get off to a good start for 2025?

Make your own traditions for NYE that doesn't rely on other people.

Starting a new year with a hangover is a pretty shit way to start a new year if your plans normally involve alcohol.
